Hello all
As promised here’s the homework page
23rd June 2020
30th June 2020
We are coming towards the end of the year and I thought it might be good to do a little assessment to see where everyone is at. Attached is a link to the paper. If they could have a go on their own … so no help. Don’t worry if they can’t do something have a go or move onto the next question.

Straight Line Graphs
Well done today
There was a reinforcement of learning from last week and developed this to drawing straight line graphs using the format of y = 2-x
The additional challenge of finding the value of y when using the format of 2x + 4y = 8
Homework A:
Fill in the values for
y = 4 – x
x -1 -2 0 1 2 3
y
On a grid – please construct using x & y axis
draw the graph y = 4 – x
Find the y-intercept
Find the gradient
(I will post the answer up here next Monday)
3 x 0 = 0 + 2y = 4 so 2y = 4 y = 2 (0, 2)
3 x 1 = 3 + 2y = 4 so 4 – 3 = 1 so 2y = 1 y = 0.5 (1, 0.5)
3 x 2 = 6 + 2y = 4 so 4 – 6 = -2 2y = -2 -2/2 = -1 y = -1 (2, -1)
3 x 3 = 9 + 2y = 4 so 4 – 9 = -5 2y = -5 -5/2 = -2.5 y = -2.5 (3, -2.5)
NOW GO to the x coordinates that are negative
3 x -1 = -3 + 2y = 4 so 4 + 3 = 7 2y = 7 7/2 = 3.5 y = 3.5 (-1, 3.5)
3 x -2 = -6 + 2y = 4 so 4 + 6 = 10 2y = 10 10/2 = 5 y = 5 (-2, 5)
I will post the answers up next Monday.
