GCSE Maths & Statistics Intensive Revision courses

👀 Maths & Statistics Revision 👀

Could an intensive revision course benefit your young person as they approach their GCSEs in May and June?

Getting ready for GCSEs requires structured support, focusing deeply on key areas identified by the students themselves. Our revision course offers expert tuition with a maximum class size of 4, ensuring students receive personalized attention to help them identify knowledge gaps and prepare for their exams.

Designed to enhance your young person’s confidence, knowledge, and understanding of what the exam paper requires, these classes cover all the essentials needed to pass their Maths GCSE (Foundation or Higher) or Statistics Foundation GCSE. The approach is to keep everything as straightforward as possible to boost exam scores, focusing on targeted areas based on student requests and exam-style questions. Revision cards and additional resources are created during the classes, providing students with materials to revise specific topic areas.

Each class delves into key areas using various tools to help students retain and apply their learning. With a tutor boasting 30+ years of teaching experience and a maximum group size of 4, this course provides a unique opportunity to focus on key areas. All homework, mock exams, assessments, and practice questions/assessments are shared through a downloadable link, with recommendations for additional online resources.

This intensive course is particularly beneficial for young people who may have missed out on vital learning experiences in the past few years due to Covid-19. The class environment and lesson structure are designed to be fun and engaging, ensuring that students not only learn effectively but also leave with a smile on their face, potentially making new friends, and equipped with a framework to help them achieve their desired grade.

Positive Learning Environment
Your child/young person is learning in an environment that is very different to school, it’s structured, paced and chunked to accommodate their learning styles.  Lots of preparation go into how the class is going to be delivered/taught for YOUR child and what they may need from myself in order to understand the topic with lots of additional resources sourced (as required), reviewing, tweaking, finding alternative ways to teach it in order to ensure that they have understood.
Through the messaging system I give you a weekly summary of what we have covered and any extension work (homework) that they may wish to engage with.

This work I also mark so spending quality time to ensure that they receive a full breakdown of the questions they have attempted; to see how they should lay out their response etc and if there is clear evidence of not understanding then revisiting & reviewing that learning area with appropriate, level and adapted resources etc.
